SUMMER 2024 INSTITUTE
WASHINGTON NATIONAL OPERA INSTITUTE at the KENNEDY CENTER, August 2024. The WNOI is a highly selective summer program for exceptional young singers. Participants receive intensive training in vocal performance, acting, and movement from world-class faculty, alongside opportunities to perform on one of the nation’s most iconic stages.
VOCAL FELLOWSHIP AT THE BUSHNELL 2024/25, 2023/24, and 2022/23
A prestigious full scholarship vocal performance program including voice lessons, master classes, and two performances annually at The Bushnell Performing Arts Center.
VOICE
Weekly voice lessons since summer 2021 with Jeanine Pardey-Levine, an Artist Teacher at Hartt School of Music.
DANCE
2021-2023, One-on-one training in Jazz, Tap, Modern Dance, and Ballet.
ACTING
2021, Acting 101 (18 hours of instruction and workshopping) with Anthony Depoto, Adjunct Professor at WCSU and Founder and Artistic Director of InnerAct Theatre.
INSTRUMENTS
Five years of cello lessons, some piano, and self-taught on the bass guitar.

This past September, Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music hosted a Voice Day of Discovery for prospective students and their families. Student participants were invited to audition for one of five slots to work in a masterclass as part of the day’s events. In addition to the students and families, the entire vocal faculty was in attendance for the masterclass.
Tatum was selected to sing, and she had the honor of working with the very talented and accomplished Amy Johnson. Tatum chose to workshop Love’s Philosophy by Roger Quilter with the help of the wonderful pianist, Cory Battey. It was an incredible opportunity, a truly meaningful learning experience, and a very memorable day.

Tatum is a senior at Education without Walls in New Milford, CT, a micro-school that values community and allows students to individually actualize through customized curriculum and innovative interest-based learning.
TEACHING ASSISTANT
2023/24 academic year, Teaching Assistant for Civics class at Education without Walls. Responsibilities include Google Classroom management, curriculum planning, and providing extra help.
SUMMER SESSION AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY
Summer 2023 studied Introduction to Law and Photography at Oxford University through the International Summer School for Teens.
FIRST IN SCHOOL AWARD
Spring 2022, selected as First in School by faculty and peers at Education without Walls, an award for excellence in leadership, academics, community service, strength of character and peer support. This was the first time a freshman was awarded the top school award.
